How should App Connectors be deployed?

Deploying App Connectors as a pair in separate data centers is crucial for ensuring high availability and redundancy. This configuration allows for failover capabilities; if one data center experiences an outage or issue, the other can continue to serve user requests without interruption.

By placing App Connectors in separate locations, organizations can also mitigate risks associated with localized disasters or outages, maintaining user access and service continuity. It’s a best practice in cloud architecture to distribute critical infrastructure across multiple geographical locations to enhance resilience and reliability.

Other deployment configurations may not provide the same level of operational continuity or disaster recovery. For instance, deploying individual App Connectors in the same data center could lead to a single point of failure, while deploying them in groups of three in the same location wouldn't leverage the benefits of geographical diversity. Similarly, independent deployments across multiple locations might introduce complexities in management and synchronization, potentially resulting in inconsistent performance or configuration.
